At IMI Bhubaneswar, we believe management education must be purposeful, contemporary, and deeply human. Our mission is to create leaders who combine analytical rigor with empathy, entrepreneurial energy with ethical conviction, and global perspectives with a commitment to inclusive growth. Working on this vision IMI Bhubaneswar was established in the year 2011, under the aegis of IMI New Delhi which has a rich legacy of more than 4 decades as a leading B school in India.

IMI Bhubaneswar stands on a 16-acre lush green campus. From the beginning, IMI Bhubaneswar started on a right note, striking all the right chords expected of any good Business School. It has distinguished itself by its excellent academic programs, executive education, quality research output by the faculty, and supporting entrepreneurs since its inception. Despite being a young institute, IMI Bhubaneswar has ticked all the check boxes for delivering quality education. Our two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management Program (PGDM), approved by the AICTE, attracts both fresh students and experienced executives with an inquisitive mind. The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), also approved by AICTE, attracts research talent equally from fresh scholars and senior industry practitioners. 2026 has been a remarkable year for IMI in general, and IMI Bhubaneswar in particular. Invoking the theme of One IMI concept, IMI initiated revolutionary restructuring of its PGDM curriculum by introducing 7 tracks: Consulting & Strategy, Market Expansion & Growth, Finance & Capital Markets, Product Management, People & Org, Analytics, Ops & Supply Chain while horizontally integrating Emerging Tech & ESG across the courses. These changes were brought in after a careful reflection and realization of the tremendous threats coming from AI and ESG concerns across industries globally.

IMI Bhubaneswar’s campus culture celebrates diversity of thought and background. Student-led clubs and committees, case competitions, entrepreneurship forums, and community initiatives help cultivate leadership, teamwork, and responsible citizenship. We are equally committed to the well-being of our learners, providing a supportive ecosystem that values emotional wellbeing and lifelong learning. Our 500+ alumni and 1000+ executives are making a significant contribution to the social and economic growth of India.

Mirroring our strengths, IMI Bhubaneswar has achieved numerous milestones. It has received the coveted accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), the Association of Universities (AIU) equivalence for the PGDM Programme, and Graded Autonomy status from the AICTE. IMI Bhubaneswar is currently working towards achieving another milestone, AACSB accreditation. It has also consistently performed well in national rankings (NIRF), showing its commitment to high-quality teaching, training, research, and consultancy. Our faculty members are not only outstanding scholars in their respective disciplines with publications in leading academic journals, they are also inspiring teachers, impactful consultants, award-winning case writers, and policy advisers.
