IMI Incubation Foundation

IMI Incubation Foundation was formed as a section 8 Company on 25th February 2019 by International Management Institute (IMI) Bhubaneswar to promote ecosystem for Innovation, Startup and Entrepreneurship for college students, young innovators, and society at large. IMI is leading management institute in the country with 3 campuses. Foundation is a recognised incubator by Strat Up Odisha (Dept of MSME, Govt. of Odisha) and registered with Startup India.

Foundation conducts various short-term programs in collaboration with EDII, IEDO, ICI, Ministry of MSME, Wadhwani Foundation, National Entrepreneurship Network, Startup Odisha, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur etc. to promote entrepreneurship and startups among college students and young startups. These activities include EAC, EDP, Boot Camps, Talks by Young Startups and Industry Players like VCs, Angel Investors, etc. It is only incubator with management focus in state of Odisha. A dedicated space of 5400 sq. ft has been provided for activities of IMI Incubation Foundation.

Foundation has got into numerous allied activities in area of education and entrepreneurship. which helps Foundation in numerous ways. Firstly, these activities help us to reach out to large number of people across India thus creating awareness about Foundation. Second though these activities we try to benefit neglected sections of society by handholding and training them in business and entrepreneurship so that they can run enterprises successfully. These activities also help us to create skills which are required for today’s industry. The allied activities include: -

Project under SFURTI scheme of Ministry of MSME, Government of India for creating grassroot level entrepreneurship for artisans and farmers. Completed Maniabandh Handloom Cluster and Daspalla Beewax and Honey Cluster. Currently working for Bamboo, Silk and Agro-processing cluster in Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.
Financial literacy programs sponsored by SEBI on ‘Commodity Derivatives’ for students, farmers, and industry in state of Odisha.
Mutual Fund Agents Training and Certification (NISM Series VA) in collaboration with BFSI-SSC, Skill Council of India under Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for upskilling people and creating micro enterprises in Mutual Fund Industry.
Review and impact assessment reports for NABARD sponsored OFPO, MEDP and LEDP programs.
Sponsored IAP by NCDEX for college students and police officials.
IMI Foundation is also exploring CSR projects and impact assessment studies with Industry in field of education and entrepreneurship.
