Debidutta  Pattnaik

Dr. Debidutta Pattnaik is an Assistant Professor at IMI, Bhubaneswar. His teaching interest includes Corporate Finance, Trade Finance, Financial Economics, and Advanced Research Methods. Along with teaching, Dr. Pattnaik is an active researcher in the areas of Corporate Finance, Trade Credit, AI & ML, and Bibliometrics. He has published in numerous journals ranked A* and A such as Journal of Corporate Finance, Financial Review, Journal of Forecasting, Economics Modelling, Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Service Research, etc. Dr. Pattnaik has over fourteen years of industrial experience in development finance, financial services, and pharmaceuticals. Prior to his assignment at IMI, Bhubaneswar, he has worked as Assistant Professor and Chair of PhD Programme for Woxsen University, Hyderabad. Some of his notable academic achievements include:

  • Winner of "2021 Runner-up Outstanding JME Article of the Year Award"
  • Winner of "JMTP Article of the Year Award 2020"
  • Winner of "Top-cited Article of the Journal" awards in Financial Review, Review of Financial Economics, Journal of Corporate Finance, Australian Accounting Review, and Psychology & Marketing among others.
  • ABDC P-rank (2021): 12th in India for publications between 2020 and 2021.
  • Features among the top 25% of Indian Economists in 2022.
  • Overseas teaching assignment: Taught "Advanced Research Methods" to the Doctoral Scholars of University of Johannesburg, South Africa in April 2022.
